Live Your Life As Simple As You Are.

Live your life as simple as you are. Warren Buffet tells it and he does it. He is a very simple man and also one of the most complicated man on earth. He’s the second richest man on earth after Bill Gates, and complicated makes him just that. He’s good in stock market; not only good, but the best among the best. When I first get to read a book about him and his life I was shocked, totally shocked. He’s a simple man who still drives the same old blue car that he bought many decades ago and still lives in the same 3-bedroom house in mid-town Ohama that he bought 50 years ago. Wow, if I’m the second richest man on earth, I will build a big villa and maybe a few sport cars, and most people would just be the same as me only plus and minus a few things. That’s the difference between him and the world. He is simple. I’m not saying if you are wealthy you cannot live your life large. You are who you are, if you are simple, be yourself and live simple. If you are not, try to live simple, because many things in life are not necessary needed in our life. Although Donald Trump lives his life large in various ways (owning exquisite Mar-A-Largo Club, owning a private jet and helicopter, having his Prime TV reality show “The Apprentice”, several items under his Trump brand, several Trump towers and golf courses), but he is also a simple man who buy a DT burger after work and went home to watch his TV. Now that is what I call simple.

Humans are born simple; it is the materials in our life that makes us complicated. My dad is a simple man. When I was small, I wanted to buy a pair of Adidas basketball shoes. The reason I wanted to buy that shoe is because it is yellow (which will attract attention of the girls sitting on the bench), and the main reason is to show off. I request it from my dad, but he refuse to buy. He says be simple and buy a cheaper shoe. That time I could not understand what he’s trying to say, I always thought he is a stingy man. It gets me a few years to understand why he refuses to buy me that pair of shoes. If you are buying the things to show people who you are, how wealthy you are, how accomplished you are in society, it’s unnecessary to do so. You are who you are; you don’t need to live your life large to let people know you. That’s what my dad always tells me, even until today. My dad leads a simple life. He’s capable to buy branded shirts, trousers, shoes, watches and other stuffs, but he refuse to do so because he’s a simple man. He tells that he is who he is, he don’t need to buy those things to show who he is, he shows people who he is by doing business with them. And definitely he shows people how smart he is in doing business. For young people like me and you (if you are fresh graduate and below 30), live your life as simple as you are. One reason is to save your income from flowing out too much on unnecessary things, and another one is to prevent you from becoming a big spender. Branded stuff quality is guaranteed, by all means do buy some branded stuff, but buy only what you need. I only have 2 polo Ts’ with me and of course my golf set, other things than that, I don’t look on the brands. These two things is not unnecessary stuff for me; these things will help me in my future planning. If I ever go out with CEOs’ or wealthy people for golfing and talk about business, it’s time to wear that polo Ts’ and bring that golf set of mine, which will at least giving them a good impression during the first meeting.

In conclusion, live your life as simple as you are and be in it. We don’t need to live large for people to know us; we live a simple life and show people who we are by actions.
