Credit card is good for in the occasion when the cash is not enough. It happened to me at least twice even though I have prepared cash in advanced for payment. Due to unforeseen situation where more need to be paid (not shopping, I mean, in seeking medication from hospital), credit card is handy.

Yeap, it is a debatable topic. I do agree with sotong4896 about self disciplines, and i personally think in the end, it all comes to financial education/knowledge. Financial education/knowledge are far more important than anything.

Hello

Sad to say, all corporation is driven by profit maximization and not social responsibilities. That is why government came up with legislation in which is aim to create some social ethic in the world, little effects but it is moving to the right direction. However, it does not change the fact that we human are greedy and think less of others people.

They do take into all necessary procedures before approving the cards. It is the customer that is overspending it, not them. For example, if a car manufacturer sell a car, do they have to be responsible that ensure the driver is an ethical and safe driver? If so, how do they do it? There is a limit on what they can do, and it will incur higher cost. It is always a debatable topic.

In the end, it all comes to the self disciplines.

There's always 2 side to a coin.

However, being a responsible corporation, banking institutions must ensure that they are taking all the necessary procedures before approving the cards to new customers. As of now, I don't see that happening in the Malaysia banking scene. They are more than happy to let these "virgin" card users accumulate credit card debts, which in turn contributes the highest profit margin to their bottomline.

Credit card is definitely a very convenient tool, and so is the Debit card. In fact, I feel that as a consumer, a Debit Card is a much more useful tool, minus all the unnecessary interests and late charges.

Ever wonder why the concept of Debit Card is not popularized by these banks?

You should know the answer by now ;-)

People people people. You all misunderstood what i wrote. The two kinds of example that i give are totally loser. I dont underestimate them, it what makes them a loser. For the 1st example, if that person still keep himself in that kind of zone, he will always be a loser no matter what. Even there is power in him, he will still be a loser. For the 2nd example, how many of you think a gambler can be a winner? Dont tell me that he will be a god of gambler because it’s impossible for him. And he’s a loser. A people who always gamble and does not have a career or things that makes him sucessful dont you think he is a loser? Other than gambling, he does nothing.
People who is a loser and never wanting for changes, will remaind loser (that is what my article is about-conclusion of my article).

The kinds of people below who i dont think is a loser is:

1. People who went bankrupt (temporary loser) and alive to overcome it, and thrive again in later time
2. People who lose in competition (sports or whatevr competition). they will be movtivated by the defeat and come back winning in the next competition.
3. People (who is a loser) who are willing to step out from their zone, and venture into another zone and having sucess.
4. The list go on….

I know so called "losers" that fail in their life only to later on make something of themselves. All it takes is for the right catalyst to be at the right place at the right time.

Personally losers aren't all that bad. Like WTJ said, don't underestimate them. They make excellent cannon fodder and in the game of life, they are great pawns, some with good positioning in life. The trick is always to place them at the right place for the right moments. You can't do that if you are that prejudiced over everyone you think are losers.
